Solar Photovoltaic Electricity System

Converting Sunlight into electricity has made great strides in the last 5 years and is now a viable option for the uk climate. Like our Thermal Hot Water solar system it works using natural daylight and all energy generated is harnessed and utilised by either powering your home or sold back to the national grid.

SPECIAL FEATURES OF A SOLAR PHOTOVOLTAIC (PV) ELECTRICITY SYSTEM

Any excess electricity generated is sold back to the national grid for more than you are charged for it. It will produce electricity and earn you money whilst you are at work or on holiday. Solar panels increase the value of your home with the latest independent studies reporting that two thirds of buyers are prepared to pay up to £10,000 more for an energy efficient home. Our PV system is grid connected which means electricity does not have to be stored in batteries which have a limited life span.

Advanced Solar's Photovoltaic (PV) system is eligible for the new government feed in tariff which will pay you an amount annually for the next 25 years regardless of whether you use that energy or not. As it contains no moving parts or batteries, the Solar Photovoltaic (PV) system is virtually maintenance free and comes with a lengthy warranty. It works silently and emits no pollution. The Solar Fusion PV system use the latest generation panels which are constructed of mono crystalline cells rather than polycrystalline to maximise both efficiency and performance.

Technical Survey:

Our technical survey team will visit you for around 40 minutes to accurately measure and assess the site for the solar PV installation.

Scaffolding:

Scaffolding goes up normally a day or two before the installation.

Mounting Kit:

Our installers start by securing the mounting kit to the rafters of your roof. We only use quality engineered mounting systems that have been tested for wind and snow loading in the UK.

PV Panel installation:

Once the mounting kit is secured, the panels clip into place quickly and easily.

Electrical connection:

Our electrician connects the system to the main consumer unit (fuse box) in your home and tests the system.

Completion:

After a thorough set of checks, the system is switched on and handed over.

Application for tariff payments: Once you have our compliance certificate, you need to apply to receive the FIT payments. This requires you to fill out a simple form which you should obtain from existing energy supplier.

The install team can generally complete all of their work in one day. In the odd case where this is not possible, the installation will be completed the following morning.
